José Luis Perdigón de Paz is a Canarian (Spain) composer and performer based in Berlin. In his works he explores time structures as a way of expression, visual-spatial connotations of timbre and internal auditory projections through strange sound objects, obsessive repetition and subversion in the use of silence.

He participated in festivals such as Impuls (Graz), Musik der Jahrhunderte (Stuttgart), Darmstadt International Summer Courses for New Music, Mixtur Festival and Canary Islands International Music Festival. He has received commissions from Ensemble Ascolta, Vertixe Sonora, Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt, Orquesta de Valencia, Sonido Extremo & Kollektiv Unruhe and his works have been premiered by Trio Accanto, Les Percussions de Strasbourg, Schallfeld Ensemble, Trio Abstrakt, Kebyart Quartet, PHACE and Trio Catch, among others.

In 2021 he was awarded the first prize of the XIX International Joan Guinjoan Prize (2021). He is also co-founder, composer and performer of Kollektiv Unruhe, a Berlin-based collective of composers and performers focused on new creation.
